Today as i was driving home and i saw a ea/eb falcon with smoke flowing out from underneath the engine bay. walked over and gave him a hand to push it off the road. I smelt oil and as i was pushing it water poared out the exhaust. I thought youve blown your head gasket in a big way. anyways when he poped the bonnet i was amazed at what i saw.
the rocker cover was chacked in half
the valves and springs were pushed outwards at an angle of about 140? degrees
the head was off the block be a couple of mm
and there was a sort of cross crack over no one cylinder all the way through.
at this point he said its a write off.
i agreed and continued home.
