1JZ hydro fan - switchable. Sat, 09 August 2003 14:47 Go to previous message
Has anyone fitted a switch to short out the 1JZ temp sensor for the hydro fan?

I noticed that even at 100degrees the resistance of the temp sensor is still around 1 ohm. It takes massive underbonnet temps for my fan to come on to full speed (ive tried it with another sensor and its still the same).

so, i was thinking of fitting a switch on the temp sensor (straight short) and being able to switch the fan on to full speed whenever i want. That thing shifts a hell of a lot of air.

Anyone tried it? Im just cautious in case a straight short upsets the fan ECU...

adi
