well yesterday I headed off to get my project car and a spares car.Rod kindly came to help me towing a trailer as well,so here we are 2 trailers that I had to hire and the fuel bill of two dirty big 4x4's.We drove to bathurst (my cruiser needs a 1uz)get to the property and the woman told us it was up the hill.
Though the trees we can see all the cars so we started walking up to check things out,soon driving is the better call.
So up this goat track we drive through gates just wide enough to fit the trailers, to the dumping ground of many cars.
Now most where dead many years ago but some were ok but what pissed me of the most was all the good bits of the spare car were gone and the car I was after (my old cortina) was nowhere to be seen.
Well standing there looking around at two 4x4's with empty trailers Rod suggests we talk to the woman about getting something for our efferts and luckly she said if there is anything there that we want to help ourselves, so back up the hill we went.
We got a bettle that I want to sell to cover costs for the day and another car that I'm getting some parts off before scraping, as we are loading the cars we notice that one of the trailers only has one ramp,good thing we had the other trailer.
so all loaded and off we go just as it starts to rain, get to the first t intersection and the cruiser just locked the front and kept on going until I did everything in my power (downshifting and handbrake)to get it slow enough to turn the corner.we made it and only mine and my passenger's undies with know how it felt at the time.The trip back was slow and unpleasant with the cruiser not to keen on stopping or turning in the wet.We made it home in one piece and it was a leaning experiance in don't trust anyone.
I took the word of a so call mate the the cars were still there so I hired the trailers and run two cars to bathurst.Next time I will make the trip to see for myself first
