Removal of 7MGTE Injector Rail

So there is a split o-ring or something on my brother's 7MGTE injector rail and it is excitedly spraying petrol all over the engine block when it's running.
We need to pull the (#2) injector out to replace the o-ring (I assume). Is this a heaps long job? Do we need to remove the intake manifold to access/remove the injectors?
(I notice there is a big sensor on the forward section of the intake manifold that may hinder removal of the rail without removing the manifold)
Any help you can give would be so much appreciated. I am very familiar with 3S engines, but the 7M is a new world for me
