I am trying to fin out what gear ratios my auto box has in it.
It is either an A30 or A40 box.
Can any one help.

Look on the build plate in the engine bay; the transmission code will be printed there. Once you know the exact code, you can look up the ratios here:

I haven't got the car that it came out of. I thick it was an AE71
and I am trying to get the ratios to mate up a diff to it.
