I was having a think yesterday, would it be at all possible to retrofit an encoder to an engine in place of a crank angle sensor??
An encoder would be a shitload more accurate compared to a crank angle sensor. Your computer would know exactly where the crank was down to fractions of a degree if you wanted. surely thats a good thing??
