Sun, 07 September 2003 12:13 I have a '91 MX83 Cressida that is pissing me off with a few faults that no-one seems to be able to diagnose. - It doesn't start very quickly. ie: it requires a lot of cranking over to fire up when left turned off for longer than 15min. - When it is dead cold (ie: left all night in cold weather) it starts moderately well. - When the car is cold and I cruise down my street it seems ok, when I have to accelerate on the main road the car seems to almost die. No matter how much I push the accelerator it doesn't respond until bang it realises what I want and goes. I get annoyed because people behind me for the 5 or so seconds it takes to respond almost miss the lights and glare at me like I'm a fool. - Also, it only does about 6.5km per litre in the city. I've replaced the Oxygen sensor, replaced the injectors, the platinum plugs are only 5000kms old, the fuel system has had a carbon clean the fuel pump has been checked (I think) and the fuel rail is holding pressure when turned off. I am sick of spending money for nothing. The problems are still there after about a grand and a bit. The little orange engine warning light has just come on again after a long drive and I want to take it to a person who knows the most about Toyotas, if possible specifically Cressidas.
