Does anyone know wht position the tps on a 1ggte is supose to be set at?

i don't know what the toyota manual suggests it, but i would guess that you need the TPS to tell the ECU when the throttle is closed (foot off pedal) and WOT (foot mashed into floor) plus the position of valve (driving)...

so you would need to work out which wires are the 'wiper' and 'power' side of the TPS and you would want 'idle' to be when it's just stopped changing resistance (either to sent 5V or 0V back to the ECU).

this sounds pretty lame now that i read it - but unless you can interrogate the toyota ECU then the only other thing (i can think of) is to shift it to spot B and test, if still snafu then try spot C and so on...
