Just wondering what the problem is but I have a feeling it's the synchro-mesh.....
The car is a 1988 st162 and the gearbox has about 280000km's on it... don't know how it was treated before purchase as i've only had it for about 8 months....
the problem is that when changing from 3rd to 2nd or 1st to 2nd quite often i'm getting a crunch... (note: this doesn't happen on any other gear changes)
what would you suggest this to be? synchro, clutch, or possibly gear oil? and how much to fix?
