It's an easy bolt in for the mechanical bits. The only trouble you get is with the wiring, which you'll have to get someone who knows what they are doing to get it going for you, and the intercooler doesn't clear the bonnet without putting a scoop on, or front mounting it. Everything else is easy.
This particular car has had everything replaced that the GZE broke. Like all new engine mounts and CV joints!

Identicle, engine bay is the same. The wiring may be a little different for a non fuel injected version, as you need EFI fuel pump and lines, as well as a wiring loom etc, but you get most of the stuff you need with the GZE half cut or kit.

Good luck.

Depending on what gearbox you use determines if its a bolt in job. standard box and 20v box are bolt in jobbies. When you use the gze box is when you run into dramas. Ive pretty much covered the gze box conversion in a another post somewhere on here.

As for keeping up with other cars. I just raced a xr 6 turbo off the lights today in my brothers ae101 seca (abit heavier then ae82) with a 4agze in it. My bros car has a blown fuel pump. It runs lean and pings abit before the ecu cuts the timing. With this he was half a car length in front.

Another person on here Twin_camke20 just finished a Early Model GZE (AFM) into his ae82 and he beat a r33 skyline by half a car length.

With a good launch you can keep up to some decent rwd's Cool

No worries with the hyjack Twinky, I didn't have an answer anyway. I think a GZE box is a good idea with the LSD. Launches in first would be greatly improved if you could get some traction! I can plant the accelerator in first gear, even if it's just rolling along, and it has enough power to break traction too easily.
