Is my carby stuffed?!? Fri, 19 September 2003 06:05 Go to previous message
Hi, i own an 84 corolla and i have a small problem but it doesnt happen all the time...
i'll be driving along in 1st and it'll suddenly cut out for about 1/2 a second and then return to normal and it wont do it for probably 4days...
i thought the carby might not be getting enough fuel to it?
and i think this could be a problem because i can smell unburnt petrol on startup (it doesnt crank over straight away (can take up to like 5-7secs) like it's running rish :\

and another quick question... IF my carby is stuffed would i get a performance increase outta say, a Holley carby or a nice carby like that?

just one more!
would it increase performance if i bored it out from a 1.3 to either a 1.5 or 1.6??

*i'm relatively new to the whole car seen so dont flame me Rolling Eyes

Thanx.
