This has really caused me some grief, so I think I should share this info with you all. I bought an engine, from a guy who had got it from "***" imports. There were a few sump bolts missing, no worries, me thinks, so removed the sump, and had a look around inside. The following bits were missing from inside:
1. oil pump pickup,
2. windage tray, and
3. NINE bolts.
Thank god the young guy I bought the engine off, had never installed it, just imagine how long it would have lasted!
Guys, just be wary of these sort of problems when buying from so called " specialist engine importers".
