You can buy them brand new for around $500. Be wary of second hand items, many of them are stuffed due to their wearing nature.

do you know if they are 28 spline?
if so you can use a 4 pinion VL turbo centre... that will do ya. but if it's 25 spline you may be able to get a VL N/A centre, but you'l be hard pressed trying to get an LSD centre.. i know the R31's had borg warner diffs in them tho.

All R31 skylines had 28 spline BW diffs. You can't get an LSD new for the 25 spline stuff anymore, and to get one second ahnd, you'll have to go back to the late 80's vehicles, and be prepared to run with high ratios (2.77, 2.92). Stay with the 28 spline stuff, everything can still be sourced new, and it's stronger.
marki, I thought all VL's were 28 spline axles?

Hey just curious, do these fit in with the current Aust axle assemble, or does it all have to be changed, as if you were putting in a jap-spec AE86 LSD?

Nah.. VL turbo's and 5ltr's had the 28 spline axles, but the N/A's were all the weaker 25 spline. i think VN-VS were 25, or maybe 28.... i can't remember.. no wait.... they were 28spline.
i'm sure that if you go the old school BW diffs you can use the early model gears. like most people fit 3.79 and 3.9 skyline gears to VL turbo's as a cheap, yet effective, ratio change.
