CART has gone with a single engine manufacturer (Cosworth), as it was costing way too much for them (up to 4 million as opposed to 1 mill for a cossie) to lease for the year..

That was the highlight of the weekend for me watching and hearing 950hp, 16000+rpm Toyotas literally screaming . This year they dont seem the same. Last year the cars were getting silly with power to weight ratio's and they had traction control.
This year they are around 750 hp with the rpm limit down and have no traction control.. They are taming them down but the lap times are still up there..

Also the friday night drags was a washout again Sad , for like 5 years i think it has rained or some sort of drama with the drags, It would be nice if the organiser would pull his finger out and realise how popular it is? (the attraction of these cars drag racing down the same street i drive on daily is high), and i feel it ends up being more popular than the whole indy event for some locals. Think about it, Go out friday night watch the drags , get blotto , stumble into surfers nightclubs to hook up with an indy chick!! What a night!!

Cheers
