Hey guys,

Basically whats happening is the car accelerates/drives fine, but when I come to slow down, I go through the grears, apply the brakes etc.... but when I push the clutch down to go down a gear, well the RPM drops as you'd expect it to, but this afternoon, twice it dropped down completely and the car stalled twice. Its always been abit like this, but the revs have never dropped completely before, they just usually go down to 200 or so and then pick up to 600-1000(normal idle). To remedy this we adjusted the idle(little screw thing on throttle cable), this works fine for when the car is warm, but when the car is cold it idles way too high like 1400-1800(the car is sposed to idle higher when its cold I know, but cause we've upped the idle it idles really high when its cold. I'm not sure what the problem could be, engine is a 2T-GEU, its got a fuel pump & surge tank in the boot. Its always happened every now and again, but not like this, dont like getting stuck on Pennant Hills Rd in peak traffic and car not wanting to start cause the thermo fan is drawing too much on the batt. to turn it over first time.

Anyway any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Nath
