NA 1UZ-FE power??

the non-VVTi 1UZ going into my 240C is a neat engine with very few kays on it (actually, there isn't even any dust on it...!).
i was looking at using my Kawazaki GPz1100R 35mmŲ throttle bodies on it (2x sets of 4) with a custom top inlet manifold, some mild reground std cams (of the 25/68 68/25 variety) and a nice set of headers into my 2.5in straight thru system.
my questions are
1_ the auto that came with it - to beef or not to beef? will it hold up okay and will i need a tranny cooler? and
2_what sorta power can i expect? i'll have about 300hp with the std engine running with the exhaust and the delco, how much more should i expect? and
please don't tell me to visit www.lextreme.com because most of the guys dispensing on there are about as useful as tits on a bull.
