Tue, 04 November 2003 01:23 A nice big stinking auto 7M-GTE halfcut finally showed up, so I'll probably be going ahead with that one to chuck into the cressy. It's got a few kms on it (about 110,000), and it's missing the intercooler. Aside from that it seems pretty good. Is there anything in particular I should look out for, aside from shaft play in the turbo and a compression test on the cylinders? It can't be started due to the missing intercooler, but I'm thinking of plumbing a piece of pipe across the front to see if I can. The wreckers are usually pretty unhelpful when it comes to this sort of thing though. I managed to talk them down to $1200. That's a pretty good price right? I hope I'm not being ripped off -J- [Report message to a moderator]
