I gather the 18rc is too long for the 22 ... or at least a real tight fit ... I could be wrong however, i only have 23's and 28's
however, what interests me is why anyone would trade a 2T for the 18R ... its an absolute boat anchor!
Go the 2T! -> swap a 2TGEU for some more go.

Agreed Steve tell your mate not to do this conversion as it is a waste of time swap a 2tg or 18rg if your going to do anything much more potential

I really doubt that the 18R crossmember will even fit as I believe the chassis rails on a TA22 are closer together than
those of the RA23/28. If your mate really wants to do this he will need 18R, engine cross member, W50 g/box and g/box cross
member, and expect to do a lot of stuffing around.
BTW, I can confirm that a TA22 g/box cross member does not fit
on an RA23, so more problems there.
Buy and fit a 2TG - its so much better.
Mitch.

I think that the 23 crossmember is a tad to wide and the holes are in the wrong place but hey just get creative with a hacksaw and a file

Sounds like an excellent way to screw up your suspension geometry.

Just tell him to stick to a T series motor ..
18r's in a ta22 are just wrong !
