Okay, I read somewhere on here that with twin side draught Solex carbies you can't just slam your foot down and expect power, you have to feed it in slowly.

I'm not a genius at each type of sidedraught carby, but I'm mechanically minded enough to understand if someone explains, I was wondering why this might be and what can be done to overcome the problem, if it actually is a problem, or someone just made it up (which I'm assuming they didn't)?
