In thread "2t-g + 3tg-teu turbo and injection bits" the issue of 2tgte head flow vs 3tgte was raised by TE-72 Turbo (Phil)
"Has anyone actually got any sort of proof that the 2TG heads are a better design than the 3TGTEU's? Almost everyone has this "I heard" approach about the 2 heads, but i'd love to see some figures to support this. There are plenty of 3TGTEU's out there making in excess of 300hp without a problem."
Yeh me too. Can anyone tell me how head flow is measured? Is there anyone in Australia competent to do this? I mean if your going to have ports enlarged and meticulously polished at great expense you would want to know that it is going to make a measurable difference. After spending hundreds of bucks on it of course you would notice the difference wouldn't you Yeh sure every little bit counts but at what $/hp ratio?
In anycase with forced induction aren't head flow issues between 2t-g and 3t-g a matter of boost?
