Car Audio Question

I have a head unit with a single pair of RCA outs. From this pair I split the RCA's and put them into my amp. With one left/right pair driving the fronts, and the other driving the sub. This setup has worked fine for me up until now, but enter the problem:
Not wanting a fine for talking on the phone, i installed a hands free kit, the switching power supply in the hands free kit is interfering with the front, and a buzzing/whirring can be heard through them.
My local dealer sold me an in-line filter which nicely blots out this whirring, problem is it also cut's out the sub! This happens if the filter is installed either before or after the splitter on the RCA's (see picture below)
Is there any way i can hook this up to filter the noise, but not the sub? keeping costs to a minimum? The only option i can think of right now is to replace the head unit with something that has 2 pairs of RCA outs (not ideal but was on the cards in the next 12 months).
