Wierd Freaky Dude Following me!

I was drivin dads ae92 CS sedan (white) a few months ago and my mate was in front of me in his VS commodore, i had come out of an intersection, and there was this pulsar Q next to me, now I was trying accelerate a bit to keep up with my friend(CS being pretty gutless) and had a fair bit of trouble, but yeah we went to Knox city (A shopping centre in Melbourne, quite busy at night with car dudes). And he was following me, tailgating me the whole way through the car park, then me and my mate decided to park in a spot, and he parked 2 spaces down from us, we were like "what the fuck??". He just decided to reverse out again, and drive off...
So me and my mate decided to follow him, see how he likes it, but the looser decided to do a U turn at the lights, we just kept going.. it was weird, he had his girl friend in the car, and she was just going with the flow...
There are some freaks out there!
Why do ppl do that???
I wasn't doin anything wrong..
If i got a ae82 twincam back then (and still trying to get one) i would have had no trouble smoking him,
