AE102 Csi steering wheel shakes w/ brakes

Hi all,
My gf has an ae102 corolla csi, front discs/rear drums. When you hit the brakes the steering wheel wobbles. The harder you hit the brakes the more violently it wobbles. Also, while you're going fast it wobbles with lighter application of the brakes than usual.
I'm sure I've seen this problem posted before, but I couldn't find it in Search. Does anybody know what's wrong with it?
