A question for you guys and gals......

I was talking to my mate earlier (green comet) and we were talking about what sorta car would we get if we won the lotto. Now I said id still drive a toyota, granted no where near stock but still im a toyota boy through and through. Now my mate reckons he would get a BMW or some other kinda of fancy euro car (which is fine, each to there own). Now Im just curious who would stick with toyota if they had big cash, and who would want somthing euro/american or whatever?

If you're talking 30 million dollar lotto.
I would say fuck off toyota.
Hello Aston Martin, Bentley, Porsche, McLaren (if i can find one), Cadillac(Escalade), and Ford(mustang).
If you have the money, why not use it. Why drive a 2k or 30k car when you can drive a 500k car.
I like wasting money.
I want 364 trillion dollars.

Daily Driver: difficult decision....mmm, always had a soft spot for a series 6 rx7

Yep, depends on how much I'd win. If it was under a million, I'd happily go out and buy myself a brand new Lexus IS2/300, over a million to 5 million, I'd be enjoying the fruits of the Lamborghini tree, and over 5 million, it would be lots of everything, and definately a McLaren F1 in there somewhere. As far as supercars of it's day and up till now, I still like the Mclaren for it's innovation, style and refinement.
Some of you may wonder why I'd only buy a IS200/300 if I won a million and not something more expensive. The answer is simple - would you want to waste all your money on something that will only depreciate over time?

Toyota for sure:
MKiv Supra
AE86 Trueno
Cressida with LPG conversion for daily driving
I wouldn't spend on anymore cars cause I won't have anymore TLC to give
Money left over will be for repairs, trackdays, mods & fuel.

Sorry Toyota, but Audi RS4 pimped out all the way. Then again, I doubt I'd spend enough time in Australia to actually make it worth buying. Even with only 500,000 or $1m dollars I'd ski my way around the world for 3 years.

If I won any sorta money, I'd be wanting to 2JZ 5 speed my Soarer.
And then just throw all the bolt on goodies to make it go, stop and handle like no other....
Not to mention a nice set of wheels to make it looks sweet.
Apart from that it has every luxury one would ever need.

Hey, mine works, it's just tempermental! You've gotta treat it right, take it out to dinner and say all the rights things for it to return the goods....
But then, just like most things you have to wine and dine, go to fast and it dissapears really quickly... Wait, that's the petrol it's measuring not the guage...

If it was 30 mill I would be getting:
Daily Driver:
Toyota Altezza - Perhaps rims, and some tuning
or a BMW 3 series, depending on how hard it is to get the Jap spec Altezza here.
Weekend Machine:
Toyota Supra RZ - Exaust, chip, intercooler, leather interior, sound system, rims, shocks, bodykit
Midnight Machine:
Undecided, probably a heavily worked EVO VI, Imprezza STi, R34 GT-R (I like AWD) or Supra RZ.
And then, I would need to buy all my friends new cars. I think I have posted about that before.
Integra VTi
VW Beetle
BMW Z3
R34 GT-R
Falcon Ute
Kingswood
Mazda 6
Monaro

firstly id buy a house with a large block - say - 100 acres ( grin )..
then id buy a BIG shed
Then id have vicroads lay a personal racetrack on said land , just big enough for a little bit of fun
Then ud look at the bank account to see what i had left
If it was supstancial
A new Ford GT ( the retro Gt40 ) the trackworker and garage queen!
An Ex TTE WRC st185 or 205 - with proper battle paint, restored to as new condition.
A 98 ish TRD 3000GT supra - for the daily driver - modified tastefully And a DJR 340 falcon for other days i feel like wearing ford badges.
A XR8 Falcon ute - for parts hauling and trailer work ( because holden utes are ghey )
A car trailer - fully enclosed for said garage queen and TTE celica
Oh - And id attempt to get better mechanical skills to keep such machines in top order

I'm sorry, I might sound a little nit picky.. But it's happened HEAPS and HEAPS of times...
there is NO SUCH THING as an APEX GTV or GTV APEX.
The APEX-GTV-thingy you refer to is a fixment to the car name describing the grade of the vechile.
In terms of the ae86, there are 3.
GT (standard model. No options, very budgety components).
GTV (Mid ranged. better moulded interior. air con, more features).
GT APEX (fully optioned. power mirrors, climate control, race coloured interior. power steering).
So when you refer to these, you normally say it after the car name itself. Like...
Toyota Sprinter Trueno GTV.
or
Toyota Corolla Levin GT APEX.
rock on.
