sanding heat cure paints back? Tue, 30 December 2003 03:24 Go to previous message
I've just painted my water pump pulley (thanks Dave), and it's come out a little lumpy (which wasn't suprising, considering the poor quality of undercoat I gave it)

now while I realise it's only a pulley, I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I'm wondering if you can sand back heat cured paints before they're been heat cured? it's thoroughly dried, but says it will cure under normal engine operating temps (which would be great, if it was in a car)
