hey all i got a 75 ke30 corolla with a k series engine (4k-c)
and whenever i pushg the brakes down the engine revs higher
any info would be apreciated

Does it rev continually while your foot is on the brake?

yeah i push em down and they work alright but it continually keeps revving until i take my foot off

does it still feel like you have vacuum assistance when you apply the brakes?
if not, then it sounds like air is leaking thru a broken booster diaphragm, and increase engine speed.... what kind of revs are we talking here??
disconnect and plug the vacuum line to the booster, and start car and apply brakes just to be sure (not with car moving =bad)

... and pinch a one-way valve (many are inline items) from the vacuum line from a functioning booster unit off something at the wreckers.
This will help isolate the induction system from faulty/leaking booster - and possibly replace what could be a faulty one-way valve on your car.
or is this something totally simple at mechanical like the brake pedal mechanism acting on the throttle cable somehow? does the throttle move at all when you pump the brake pedal?
