SPEEDCORE Forums Junkie Location: GoldCoast/Brisbane Registered: May 2002	Help with 20V AE86 Wed, 07 August 2002 15:55 Hi guys, I'm in a bit of a pickle with deciding what engine to put into my sprinter at the end of the year. I don't want it to be a WRX killer as I want it to be more of a well balanced car for my personal enjoyment through the hills of Tamborine Mt here in SE QLD, thus the lean towards the 20V. The problem I have heard with this conversion is the damn location of the distributor. I don't want to cut a hole in the firewall "is it legal anyway?" Also if I have to resort to getting an aftermarket ECU, will I most likely lose the VVT capabilities of the engine?? I am trying to get away with the original ECU and some cheap but effective way of getting around the obvious headache with the ignition system. So please, if any of you guys that have prior experience or knowledge on how to get the 20V working on the standard ECU with the minimal of fuss in a AE86, I'm all ears!! Thanks heaps, Adrian! PS. I'm not ruling out the GZE but I like NA and insurance for AE86's is getting high, let alone a Supercharged one! [Report message to a moderator]
