Power Window Motor & Regulator for 94 Sprinter

My power window regulator recently died. I have just recently taken it to a local Toyota dealer for them to fix it. They have told me that the regulator had previously been replaced and a genuine Toyota regulator was not compatible with the current power window motor.
They quoted me originally around $700 for a brand new motor. Not including the regulator which would cost around $150.
YEAH RIGHT 
IF anyone has ideas or suggestions on how I could fix my window. Or if anyone has pulled there window apart to fix it before would be helpful. Also have sources to buy these parts.

PS. This is for a 1994 Toyota Sprinter, Drivers Side Front door. I also have another rear door with problems too.
