1jz timing belt..help? Sun, 25 January 2004 06:02 Go to previous message
Okay...heres a reccomendation for anyone thinking about doing their own timing belt. Make sure that you get a rattle gun and have the compressor running about 130PSI. My brother and i tried to remove the harmonic balancer with a big breaker bar hanging off the crank bolt, and another hanging off one of the cams. Well we skipped a tooth or a few Sad and there doesnt seem to be any markings on the timing belt housing to line the crank pulleys up with once we get No1 TDC. Anyone done their own timing belt before and can gimmie a clue?
Cheers,
Troy
