Help on 17" ROH Adrenaline Sun, 25 January 2004 12:31 Go to next message
Hi guys,

I'm about to get a set of 17" ROH Adrenaline rims with Yokohama ES100 tyres (215/45R17)...I know the PCD is correct as its 5 nuts 114.3 but I not very sure about the offset as its not stated. Does anyone know or does the offset even matter? Thanks in advance!

Btw I drive a 1989 mkiii supra twin turbo...

Some pics to see if they are worth it Smile

Offset does matter. I believe the JZA70 uses +45-50 offset (from memory).
You can measure the offset yourself. I could explain it here, but it would take me a while. I'm sure Google would be able to help out though.

afaik (correct me if i'm wrong, i know you want to Very Happy )the only wheels that came out with that stud pattern (hilux, rx7's, 300zx's?, maybe a few more) were all rwd so the offset should be pretty damn close. the only way to know for sure that they'll fit would be to try them though

It's easier to explain measuring offset with a pen and paper, go to the place you're buying the wheels from, and get them to run through it with you. If they don't know, then buy your wheels elsewhere, because they're obviously not too bright! Evil or Very Mad

Re: Help on 17" ROH Adrenaline Tue, 27 January 2004 13:24 Go to previous messageGo to next message
A = total width of rim (not tyre)
B = depth from inside rim to face where stud plate bolts up.
C = A / 2 (distance from rim to centre of rim)
offset = C - B (how far the stud plate is from the rim centre)

positive means plate is closer to outside of rim
negative means plate is cloers to inside of rim

Thanks Dude! You are the best! Shall get the guy to measure based on your method...

Also another question does it matter if the rims ar 17X7, 17X8 or 17X9? Can we see which is it based on the tyres? They are Yokohama ES100 tyres (215/45R17). Thanks again dude!

Im sorry Classique71, but I have to do this. I owned a set of Performance Wheels Tempest, and they are really bad. The first set I had, I used [/b]expensive[/b] Meguires mag wheel cleaner on them (thinking I was doing the right thing) and the paint run as soons as it was sprayed on. I then took them back for warranty, which took several months (no joke!), and they repainted them, then tried to charge me!! The whole time I was told they were being done under warranty.

Second set. Didn't EVER touch them with ANY cleaners at all excpet slightly soapy water and a soft sponge. The paint went from the nice silvery colour to a dull grey. I figured it was the brake dust sitting and drying on the wheels. They didnt go as bad as the first set, but now one of my girlfriends, friends my old Corolla, and they are literally black now. Typical chick i spose Razz but she never cleans them or anything. So the paint has just totally disappeared.

I have seen several other cars with different types of PErformance Wheels with the Hyperchrome finish and the same thing has happened to them all.

I hope this doesnt happen to you mate! Sorry! Embarassed

mine are not hyperchromed - they are just plain old silver - like 95 % of the mags out there Smile

I heard about the issues with the hyperchrome - and said F that !

they have withdrawn hyperchrome from their catalogue now ( checked on this too ) mainly because the finish wouldnt adhere to the alloy ..

the platinum and silver finishes are fine though - no problems there.. ( checked on this too ! )

ive had no issues with mine so far - none whatsoever .. And i drive on some of australias shittiest roads on a daily basis Wink

Thats good to hear!!

They still list the hypercrap on their website, but wouldn't surprise me if they have removed it. It was shite!

They look good on the GT4 though!!

Thats why i bought them - and they cost a grand less than 17 inch roh adrenalins - which would also have looked awesome but thats a BIG increase for wheels of near identical look

there should be a marking on the rim. Possibly a number then a letter eg '4N'. Then let a wheel shop that stocks ROH know and they will tell you.

With a width of 215 tyre, they are 7" or 8".
