Reshaping brake pads Tue, 27 January 2004 12:22 Go to previous message
Finally assembled my calipers today and went to put them on the car and yet again, something doesn't fit. This time it's the brake pads (!!!).

The pads foul on the strut caliper mounting tabs... By the looks of it I'll need to shave or cut off about 3 or 4mm off the BACK of the pad, what's the best way to do this? Is this even safe? Without the support of the back of the pad (which I assume is metal), will the pad material fall apart?

Hmm Sad
