Removing Air-Conditioning

Hey
I'm removing my 4ac, and putting in a 4age,
and i've realised ive got no clue on how to remove the air con system
as i undo the connnectons from the flywheel and all the gas comes out... not sure if its bad for me or watever, so i thought id asked for...
so what do i need to do to remove the air con, as in de gassing and just ripping out the engine type of way
