 Help with modifing my new AE86 sprinter (suggestions)

Hi to all
Look ill cut to the chase i want to start modifing my car but don't know where to begin or what to do. i just want to start with some basic things at first to boost the power and make it quicker of the mark. so i would like any suggestion on how to go about this.
The car is a pretty factory standard
RWD sprinter with a 1.6L inline 4-AC 4 cylinder engine but it has an LSD and i have 15 inch globe alloys on instead of the standard 13 inch .
