4AGZE with 1G charger Thu, 19 February 2004 06:10 Go to next message
Anybody put a 1G supercharger on the 4AGZE? I considering doing this as the motor i just bought has everything but the old charger and cooler, is this worth while as i'm not after big power just lots of punch. and also does anybody know whats needed to make it fit on, can you just mod the old brackets or will i have to make new ones.

thanks, Justin

do a search, this has been asked before a few times.. All I will say is that it can be done but some modification is required and the SC is good for up to about 16psi on the 4a motor..

Sprinterboy, What happened to:

Quote:

Mate i'd love to tell you but to be honest, i've only got the turbo set up on the way and that good for 207rwkw on stock GZE internals, so i'm thinking i might "warm" the motor over alittle befor i put everything back together. it's going to be great, stock looking sprinter that will tear the ass outta almost every car in canberra (execpt the the obvious ones) It's going to be a bat outta hell.

??? Rolling Eyes

I guess the group of "Obvious" cars in canberra just got a lot bigger huh? Laughing

the conversion is well worth doing but power will be limited to about 120rwkw. my old setup made 14psi with a hks o/drive pulley and had heaps more punch top end.

u gotta make new brackets, its not that complicated

funds dude, running outta money real fast and i kinda need the car everyday, and if i do lose it its gotta be for the least amount of time, i'm still looking into the turbo setup but like i said, money! so i was thinking of going the 1G charger for a while and play with some suspension insted them maybe jump back to power a little later.
