midnight Regular Location: Sydney Registered: November 2003	Fuel mixture Display for $15 Fri, 20 February 2004 00:07 Hey kids. Just thought i'd show you how I made my fuel mixture guage..... So I wanted a Fuel Mixture Display guage and opened my wallet and out fell $15 and a button... This could be seen as a problem so an old guage lying around my house gave me an idea... so off to jaycar I went and purchased the KC5195 Fuel MIxture Display Kit for $14.95 The first step was to gut the guage, some crappy VAC thing, when I ripped the internals out it came to me that the board would be too big so I cut the board where the red line indicates... After drilling holes in the now sanded guage face I glued the leds in and connected all the anodes, the cathodes were connected with wires to the underside of the board where the green spots indicate. I mounted the board so that the trimpot could be adjusted thru the old bulb hole, that way I wont have crack open the guage if it needs calibration, 1 minute in photoshop later I'd printed out a face insert and glued it on... reassembled the guage and voila...
