Alternator location on a K series engine Tue, 20 August 2002 01:37 Go to previous message
I was looking at another corolla the other day and I noticed that the alternator was on the driver's side of the engine bay. The current set up I have on my 4K if underneath the passenger side underneath and it makes it a real pain to work on. Every other engine I have personally seen has had the alternator underneath on the passenger side.

Anyway, out of interest does anyone know which engines came with these mounts on the drivers side as all the 3K and 4Ks I have come across are like this? Is it a 5K, or were there some 3/4K variations?

Any links?
