My GX60 Cress has a 1G in it. Now for all of you who have done this similiar conversion know that the Steering Box gets in the way and you'd have to tilt the engine a 'wee bit' to make it sit right. I used my ori crossmember with ori mountings and got my 1g in just alright.(no mods no welds).

Now i want to convert the box to rack and pinion. (Here in Malaysia it's done always.)i measured the X-member to be 3FT 3IN.
The other guys used a similiar x-member and welded mounting points etc. Just an idea would a TT141 Corona x-member fit in and hold a rack as well ??

And while i'm there i would want to change the front struts with some similiar ones from a Nissan (if possible), which i could later mod to hold ZX300 or Silvia or Skyline Calipers being of the same make.(i thinks its easier if Nissan to Nissan, pls correct me if wrong).

I hope you guys get the idea. Any feedback or ideas greatly appreciated.

cheers
