who can fix my t-top leak? Sun, 07 March 2004 06:05 Go to next message
hey there

i have an aw11 and my t-top is leaking badly especially when i dont have shelter in my place. it soaked up the carpet, seats everything

i had a look seems to come from the 2 ends where the targa meet the rest of the car, it just drips in between there

also coming from around the triangle just behind both left and right mirror and it travels down to the kicks area onto carpet

i need to know if neone can direct to someone or place where i can get it fixed. i'ved tried cleaning and armour-alling the rubber but it still no good

thanx

mine does this too, but not as bad as yours sounds! apparently they all do it after a few years! I used some silicon to see if i could fix it, i cured one spot, but the other 3 are leaking. so i must try some more.

The only sure-fire way is to replace your t-tops weather strips (rubbers) with new ones from Toyota.
