Overheating problem that i cant solve - URGENT HELP NEEDED Sat, 13 March 2004 14:05 Go to previous message
I have an overheating problem i cant for the life of me solve!!!

I have a larger then stock radiator, 100 kw 4age with working water pump and my problem is going for a drive that involves some load and stop start traffic the temp starts climbing, now i have a thermo fan and i never used to have any issues, but if im driving hard through the hills or even just taking it eays up a hill in 4th with constant load the temp starts rising.

Ive checked thermostat, operation is normal, i have flushed the block, i have replaced coolant with Toyota red, radiator is almost new and in very good cond, hoses not leaking.

Now the other thinbg is when i replaced coolant i bled the system, let it run for 20 minutes and let the bubbles come out, prob is they dont stop coming... i did this when i put the coolent in and then put the cap on after 20 mins.. then again tonight after a drive and more overheating i pulled into a servo and it was bubbling away...

now i dont think its my headgasket as im not LOOSING coolant, no signs of oil in my water or water in my oil, everything is quite clean indeed.

So... do i needd to keep on bleeding those bubbles out or... what?!?!

I need to know as car will be copping a hiding for next week's drift nationals.

Simon
