RA60 Stubborn Crank Pulley Bolt Mon, 15 March 2004 02:05 Go to previous message
Any got any tips on how to remove a tight crank pulley bolt on an RA60.I want to replace a leaking front oil seal but can't get the pulley bolt undone. I've tried using a socket with a long bar against the chassis & then cranking the engine but that didn't have enough power to break it loose.Next, removed the starter& jammed a screwdriver in the teeth of the flywheel & got my burly neighbor to pull on the socket extension but that only split the socket. Got another socket but am now having trouble jamming the flywheel so it doesn't move.Any ideas? Thanks, Cindy.
