7M-GTE front pully

Hey all
My mate is after a front pully for his 7M-GTE
Its just the standard pully i beleive, but he said its 4v 3v 4v?
does that make sense to anyone? 
If you actually know what hes on about please describe it a bit better for me and anyone else.
The reason I'm posting it and not him is because hes going away for a week, and wants to get the car going ASAP after he gets back.
