My mate has been given a hand-me-down corolla beater as a second car. Because he paid no money for his beater we are forcing him "as good mates do" to throw something in it that will keep up with the rest of our beater cars.
Now for the bad news.....

Good news is its an 88 model and thank god there are plenty of engines we can throw at it. We have about $1500 and we can do all the work.
Its got to be able to handle a good thrashin. The 100kw 4age looks good but is it possible to go to a 4agze or 20valve with this sort of budget or are we better modifying the 4age with the left over $$$ (filter,exhaust etc)
