RA40(mainly) bits for sale Wed, 31 March 2004 11:40 Go to next message
Guys I've gotta clear our the shed... Which means a spares car, a series 1 shell and 47652348758752347534875643 parts have to go. pics will be put up at www.shadowlogic.net/carparts as soon as my ftp is fixed. Make me any offers. If you want the 18RC in the car you'll have to take the car though. not so with the 2t-c, that's in my GT which is staying. Yu can take the engine with the auto gearbox though, that baby will have 18R-GTEU love when she's finished...

main run down, 2x cars(in various stripped down conditions), 2x 18r-c, 18r-g block with all bottom end bits, HEAPS AND HEAPS of little bits and pieces, twin dellortos of an 18r-g, 18r-g head with all new bits just needs shims sized so the cam clearances are right... Have a look at the pics and lemme know if you want anything. I'd like to have it outa there in 2 weeks. I'll pretty much take any offer unless ppl want to bid on things against each other. The engines all run(well did but have been sitting there for about 3 years) but one of the 18r-c's needs a timing chain done(that one's only been sitting there for a year), ditto on the 2t-c.

bump and all this stuff is in Adamstown near Newcastle. Anything reasonable I can bring down to Sydney and if you pay for shipping/trucking/whatever that's fine with me.

2 weeks everything has to go. Make me an offer.

I do have one set of extractors lyig around but not 100% sure they're R-G ones...

As for the crank and block, nfi mate, bought a car, pulled the engine out, took the head off it and left the block. I believe it was rebuilt(don't know how well) and the guy couldn't get it running(cause he was fucken hopeless) but I'd expect the individual parts are quite ok and newish(or reconditioned)... I'm not gonna pull it all to bits to find out though.

I'm sure I have just an evaporator hanging around in the shed somewhere... again, make me an offer, I'm not too fussed.

Also while on this topic anyone know how to install an aircon system off the 18R-C onto an 18R-G?

As far as I'm aware all RA40's had sprays built into the wipers. But they're all 23 years old and don't work.

Thanks for the panel pics...I 'll pass thanks...As for the wipers...mine worked after I cleaned out the crud in the fitting and replaced the rubber tube from the fitting (on the underside of the attaching mount bit ...tube just slides on .. just a "lip" on the tube to hold it on ..rubber perished I guess and clogged up everything...some fine wire probed into the little holes helped too..

Do you have an electric aerial without a broken mast for an RA40? Right rear mount, high angle.

Cheers

Re: RA40(mainly) bits for sale Thu, 22 April 2004 04:20 Go to previous messageGo to next message
ok ppls, I need to get rid of all this stuff asap... Ideally this coming weekend. I'm most likely gonna be in newcastle dumping it in a dumpster if I don't sell it or give it away. At least symbolic value offers would be nice.

As for the timing chain I'm sure I could sort one out... no guarantee on the condition but I think it's very good if not new.

I will definitely be rid of it all the weekend after this one so if you want anything get in touch now. I can't post the pics up for some wierd reason but I can email them etc if interested. have heaps of guards, like 3 bonnets and heaps and heaps of stuff you can take away practically free as long as you come to pick it up. Small things I can transport to sydney but would have to come get them from me at beacon hill. There's at least 2 cars worth of all sorts of spares so yeah.

I'd assume all ra40 diffs would be a T series...

My drive car one is(just checked) but I'm not in newcastle so can't check the car that I'd sell you.... What's special about a T series? Are all ra40's T series?

I would assume most are T series. I have an LSD centre for a T series diff but i dont have a T series housing so i want to get yours, but only if its a T series. Could you let me know when you find out 100%. How much did u want for the rolling shell, cos i have no use for it at all. Thanks mate
