G'day im the owner of a fairly stocker 18Rc ra28, with king springs,KYB shocks, and recently extractors. I was wondering what peoples opinions were on the stock carby/intake setup opposed to a weber setup? do any webers fit to stock manifolds?? i would be thinking a single 36 or 40mm Weber, or something similar hopefully on a different(bigger) manifold, would this kind of setup yield noticeable gains in power with the stock internals+cam, as somebody has told me the stock carby can be alright for what u pay for webers+manifolds? and do u need fuel regulators and the like just for slightly bigger carbies? or would it be worth replacing or regrinding the cam instead of a carby? as i am only looking to spend a not-huge amount to finish making the car into something slightly respectable... for now.
or is all this not worth it as it is only an 18R-C for gods sakes and the more money i spend into on the less i have saved for the 18RG or 1G??
I just know 18rc performance parts are not common and the engines are modified less because of the whole twincam issue or lack-of. Just was looking for some advice about cheap mods as i have a fair bit of spare time at the moment due to an injury keeping me from driving, and i am just itching to spruce it up a bit(also cos of my friend just aqquiring a shmick 13B Capella!)
If anyone has any spare shit lying around for r-c's and want to get rid of it in adelaide id be interested, And does anyone know the current price of 18RG's from engine shops? is it true they are becoming so rare that 1G's are cheaper?? cos id love to go all out with 6cyl.

Anyway Cheers Heaps for all the comments if u feel like writing em, take it easy.. i got about 4 weeks till i can drive again Argh!! (broken leg, snow accident)
8O :skullblink:
