Upgrade or Transplant? (Can't decide) Thu, 15 April 2004 04:36 Go to previous message
I've been reading these forums, and there's a lot of good stuff here, and great advice.

But I'm wrestling with the decision with my KE55 Sedan:
Work the 4K, and get it sweet, or
Transplant a 7K or 4AGE.

At the moment, I'm leaning towards keeping the original mill, and rebuilding it, but I need a little help:

It's been mentioned a few times to bolt a 3K head on a 4K block, but won't this decrease compression, as the 3K's compression chamber extends into the head further than a 4K?

How does one 'Enlarge the ports' of a 4K head, without seriously buggering it up?

What's a good cam/carby/extractor combo?

Experiences with Turbo's on 4K mills?

Please forgive me if I'm asking questions that have been done to death here, and I haven't found them... Smile

Thanks in advance:
