Let's just say I'm... err... backing up... some DVDs.
I've been out of the codec scene for way too long and I don't really know much any more.
What is the best codec?
divx4? 5?
xvid? 2? 3? 4?!
ffmpeg(mpeg4)?
What's the best wrapper? Ogg? AVI?
Does it matter?!
Ripped a DVD in Ogg with Vorbis for sound. 2.8GB and the Windoze box that I want to use for A/V shits itself when trying to copy the file across the network. 
Methinks I'll cut it down to a 2GB maximum...
