Hey guys, i am in the process of putting my 2TG together and have a few questions.
1. i put the cams in so i could measure the valve clearence gaps.
when i took them out again to measure the shims one of the buckets would not come out. i got 7 of them out with a magnet but the last one is very stiff. i have tryed pliers but cant get a very good grip on it. Is there a trick to it? or should it have come out? it was it bit stiffer than the others when going in, but worked fine when i spun the camshaft around.
i need it out because the gap was 20thou
2. does anyone know the valve clearence gaps for the 2tg?
(88260 head, 88261 cams). i have been lead to belive that they are:
8 for the inlet and
12 for the exhaust.
3. where do i get new/second, hand valve clearence shims from? toyota?
does anyone have a collection? they are alot smaller than other toyota ones that i have come accross.
Any help would be great.
sorry if my descriptions and technical lingo are dodgey.
