Hi ppl,

I'm getting to the point where the RA23 is about to get its new paint, and I can't find the right frickin colour. I don't really want to spend a whole lot on the paint, so I just want to go acrylic. Thing is, I can't find the right bloody colour, every paint code I get apparently isn't available in acrylic (so they say anyway).

So far, of about ten paint codes, only Narooma Blue from the AU Falcon is available in acrylic. This is a fairly nice pearl / metallic blue, its just it is a bit too purple for my liking. I really wanted to use the Mazda 6 Strato Blue, but same old story about not being available.

Paint Shops have told me I would have more luck if I came in with paint codes from pre '96, but IMO these older colours are a bit boring, plus it is a lot harder to spot older cars with decent/original colours.

I'm asking you guys if you know of a nice deep metallic blue on a slightly older car, or a current one that you know is available in acrylic. I basically want a colour similar to this.
