Scare of the week

saw my lisence & bank account flash before my eyes tonight.
Pulled up next to a wrx at the lights tonight (on an unnamed road, to save any possible hassles).
Anyways, I got the jump on him at the lights (ok, so I cheated and the wheels were spinning before the light went green).
Then, predictably, he screams past me on the straight. I started to reel him in on the corners (obviously not a great driver/didn't know the car). Then we see flashing lights up ahead. Both down to 60km/hr in no time at all as the paddywagon flies past going the other way.
Then the race is back on, and again, just as I start to get close, a cop car goes past. This one without the lights on, and we were both doing around 130. At the same moment we realise we're in deep shit, and both pull off into separate side streets.
I'm fairly sure the cop was going to wherever the paddywagon was going, as he didn't turn around, and we were very obviously speeding.
But for a few seconds there, I thought I'd be either walking home, or changing my pants when i got home.
