W5* gearbox shifter - 20" position wanted Mon, 10 May 2004 13:00 Go to next message
I really need the 20" shifter housing & yoke (second from the left in the picture below) for a W55/57/58 gearbox. I've ordered one twice now & ended up with an 18" & 21" which are no good to me. Crying or Very Sad

Anybody able to help? Willing to swap or pay cash. Smile

Cheers
Phil

TE72 Turbo,
Friar Fhil in Canberra said you were a good bloke.
I don't know how to measure the position to see what I have, but I have a W57 g/box with the std gearshift selector housing and standard fork. This sits immediately forward of the driveshaft yoke and looks most like the 2nd one from the left in the picture. I want to swap those for a W58 selector housing and fork, 2nd from the right in the pic, that sits over the yoke.
Interested ?
If so let me know and I will take some pics of what I have so we can be sure we are swapping the right stuff.
Mitch.

Hey Mitch,

I definately have the one second from the right (can email a pic if you give me your address), more than happy to swap if you have the one second from the LEFT, which has no overhang from the back of the base flange.

Cheers
Phil L
